Compare your current diet to huffing and puffing to get uphill nonstop for the rest of your life. You know that eventually you will either fall flat from exhaustion or die trying. I choose to 'allow' success to happen using only real food. After the results come, you can add basic supplementation but how will you know what worked if you start off with both at once? Not bad, eh? I am actually talking you out of using supplements.

Start eating just food for a week. You'll see some results just doing that alone. More results than your supplements have produced, that is for sure.

Obesity and fat storage does not result from when you exercise too little or eat too much.
It results from under eating which leads to malnourishment. Sure, some fat people are overweight because they eat like savages but we all know someone who is large and claims they only eat once a day. Oddly enough, igniting your fat burning metabolism is as simple as tossing wood on a fire. Solid logs (good meals) keep the metabolism going.
Eating like a bird is more like tossing paper towels onto a flame. It burns out so fast that the fire quickly disappears. Once the fire is gone, re-lighting it (stimulating your metabolism) is then a royal pain in the butt. It is like trying to rub two sticks together for the first time and that could take several days and up to a full week to get smoking. When you add the right fuel, in the right amounts... Up, up and away we go!
You see, the more often you eat, the more consistent you are, the more the body has to do internally and as long as it is "scheduled" work, the body is happy. Since frequently eaten and clean food gives the body more to natural things to process, the metabolic fire burns even faster than ever before. This is what I was talking about in regards to eating every few hours.
You eat one meal, digest another, process one more, excrete the next one, and so on. This cycle must be regulated by the foreman all day long. That foreman is YOU. We need sufficient enough calories to experience efficient digestion, cardiac output, cellular metabolism, muscle movement, healing, growth, and all other energy demands including the burning of fat.
It is when these demands are not met through low calorie or reduced intake of other essential nutrients that the metabolism slows down. This is also why lowering your carbohydrates too much causes saggy skin (you're losing muscle... and degenerating organ integrity, weakening bones...). But how much food is enough for you? That depends on your weight, your body fat %, your weight, your height, sex and more.
For now, don't sweat it. It's not difficult to sort out. And neither is calculating how many carbs should be in your individual plan either. And you better put some thought into this because not only do too many carbs lead to cellulite, but the wrong "health" foods do as well. Look at yourself. Are you pleased with what you see? Do you have visible stomach muscles? Do you get headaches after eating? Are you a caffeine junky?
Would you like to workout only a few times a week for under a half hour each session and see double the results? You can and you will once you are being fed properly. No one requires more than that because you are no longer forcing results. In regards to various food, substance and chemical addictions; kiss them goodbye... They become a thing of the past when the body is well nourished. Interesting stuff isn't it?
