Asia
and I went to eat in Zion last week. We shared a Cobb salad and grilled buffalo,
some really nice stuff... Upon leaving, I asked for a bag to take my rolls which
were 1/2 pumpernickel and 1/2 rye of all things... I had to try them later...
And the waitress asked, "Are you on a food separation diet?"
I
was surprised but took it all in stride, "Don't you mean food combining?"
She shook her head... "No, I mean food separation. Proteins and fats are
eaten at one meal, and carbs at another." Holy cow! I didn't tell her I was
Don Lemmon of course, but I certainly left there feeling all smug...
You
see, before I built my website and brought my program to the net, I searched for
ages looking for something to call my eating plan. Food combining does not exactly
cover what I do. My system is based on many parts of other things as well. However,
"Food Separation" worked...
So, I looked it up on
AOL and all I found were mechanical food separation machines used to rip bones
from meat, skin from chickens, and some other commercial uses for the term "food
separation." None of it was "The KNOW HOW" as I saw it.
My
point is, I am who coined the phrase Food Separation for dieting and to hear a
stranger mention it in of all places, Zion, Utah, wow, that is so cool! I feel
like my entire 7 years of hard work paid off by that very comment!
Geeze,
"food separation," so simple... Yeah baby!!

Last Friday was really exciting. As soon as Asia
passed out after delivery, I drove home (just 3 miles away) and loaded photos
from the delivery to our message board.
I cannot begin to
tell you how proud of this woman I am. She gave it her all for 60 hours and out
came our 21 inch, nearly 9 pound, bundle of joy. How has that been going? Having
a baby around the house for the first week has been wonderful...
We
could hardly sleep the first couple of nights, sure, but... All we wanted to do
was sit around and stare at her, crying... Us crying, 24-7.... Tears of joy! She
truly is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me (next to my wife, without
her, no baby) and we are happy as happy can be! And let me add again, Asia has
been remarkable.
Her eating and exercise during the pregnancy
not only gave us a large baby but one with a full head of hair and the physicians
found it hard to believe how responsive she was. Tuesday's checkup went even better.
Our new family physician is a cool guy from Texas that we can tell loves his work.
We could not be happier with him either.
Ok,
on to news from the Don Lemmon's KNOW HOW front, I have some general info that
concerns my supplements, an update of sorts. The way it looks now, I will not
be affected by the codes causing Europe to panic over vitamin and mineral regulation.
It seems some lobbyist has officially and successfully sued
and won a case to keep the U.S. free of seeing bills passed in Congress that allow
us as members of the UN to accept European food laws. At least that is the word
for now. I am also told this may change within 10 years, so who really knows?
It is good news today whatever way you slice it up. In other
news, the hardbound edition of Book
Four: Personal Training Certifications will be on it's way to my warehouse
within the month. I am really excited about that because it addresses not only
the medical industry but the entire personal training world as well.
If
you want control over your own health, you need to consider this book. Look here

1:00 p.m. I am surfing the net because
of inquiries made to my site in regards to the recent death of a steroid dealer
and the FBI investigation on baseball player Barry Bonds.
I
have a beef with Barry Bonds. I know my wife thinks it is because he sent his
minion to try and get a date with her once. But the first time I heard about that,
as she can attest, I already had a beef with him (she wasn't the only adult actress
he was interested in either by the way - CLICK
HERE - FOR ADULTS ONLY)... It is just a bunch of crap that he is pretending
to be not only a family man, but a role model to children, all the while lying
to everyone in his path. Who is he fooling besides himself here? Word is, he has
plans on claiming this oil he injected without the advice of a physician was flax
seed oil. Look, Lemmon's Oil, my oil,
it is at least half flax seed oil. Anyone who has used it or flax seed oil knows
it is not a clear liquid NOR do you INJECT it. Bonds will in fact admit to using
a clear liquid and said it was flax seed oil folks. Again, is flax oil clear?
Hardly. Ok, besides
that obvious fibbing, would anyone else on earth let someone inject them with
a needle or use anything without knowing exactly what it is? "Here, Mr Bonds,
this is a RED pill, just swallow it with this water, good boy Mr Bonds, good,
now here is a needle for you Mr Bonds, it will only pinch for a minute..."
I am laughing as hard as I do at any good comedian as I type this... And he claims
the 'cream' his trainer offered along with that 'flax seed oil' wasn't to his
knowledge any more illegal than candy.... Really Barry? All that muscular weight
gained after using these items didn't clue you in? All those additional home runs
you hit weren't proof enough that you were playing better than ever at an age
other players would be retiring? Bonds has always been a productive player but...
How dare he claim ignorance to what he was using? And what trainer would give
a client drugs and lie about it? Flax seed oil? Massage cream? What complete and
utter bull ****!! These opinions are my own and are just that, opinions. But it
sure makes a guy go, "Hmmmm...."

I was doing a little online surfing and found
sites on EFA deficiencies in relation to cancer, diabetes, multiple sclerosis.
I thought this was interesting because I was concerned about stress and nerves
earlier this month and afterall, disease is nerve related. Here is how essential
fats related to multiple sclerosis:
Fatty acids are highly
concentrated within the tissue of the central nervous system. Two polyunsaturated
fatty acid groups, omega-3 and omega-6, are believed to play a crucial role in
the etiology of MS (multiple sclerosis). Deficiencies of these essential fatty
acids (EFA's) can seriously impair myelin synthesis or the dysfunctional mechanism
that triggers MS. The balance of these EFA's also influences the production of
positively acting hormones called eicosanoids, which modulate the inflammatory
symptoms in MS as well as other degenerative conditions. In fact, whether the
body uses eicosanoids to produce pro-inflammatory or anti-inflammatory leukotrienes
is dependent upon on the metabolic balance between omega-3 and omega-6 oils. Inflammatory
leukotrienes have been singled out as the agents possibly responsible for disrupting
the blood-brain barrier in MS. This is a pivotal dysfunction in the etiology of
MS. Clinical examination of red blood cells and fat tissue of MS patients has
revealed staggering deficiencies of omega-3 oils, including docosahexaenoic and
eicosapentaenoic acids. Other studies have called attention to sub-optimal levels
of omega-6 linoleic acid patients with MS and noted that severity of attacks can
be reduced with proper EFA supplemental intervention. An overwhelming majority
of scientists and practitioners agreed, balancing essential fatty acids is one
of the most critical tools in treatment of patients with MS. It is generally believed
that the earlier EFA imbalances are treated, the better the chances for a positive
outcome.

The
other day would have been my father's birthday (Happy Birthday on the 18th Dad)!
Boy, do I miss that guy... At 4:30 p.m. Asia decided she needed to step out and
wanted me to drive her to the other side of the island to go on an adventure.
She spent most of the day unpacking and arranging her office after a week of having
all the opportunity she needed but it was time for a much needed break on my part
and another excuse to delay work on hers, so off we went. Within 15 minutes or
so we were near the tallest mountain around, amazing stuff... Things grow different
here. Trees, weeds, mountains... Like the children from Little House On The Prairie
we ran through the grassy fields of Oahu to the top of a hill overlooking the
plush valleys and rivers below. This is an amazing world we live in, that's for
sure.
We later drove past the far end of the military base
at the corner of the island and saw what appeared to be one heck of an airline
crash. This thing plowed right into the beach and parts of it were lined up all
over the road itself. We saw stacks of luggage, beat up seats, the burnt wings,
all right up and close along the road's edge. All the military was able to do
apparently was clear a path for the main street down the middle of this wreckage
for the locals. Signs were erected everywhere warning us not to stop or take photos
(how did they know we would do such a thing). A cyclist we stopped said they were
filming a movie but it looked more like something else was happening. Being from
Hollywood, we certainly didn't recognize anything like "location" crews,
lighting, etc... Who knows? Is it a government cover up? Chime in the Twilight
Zone theme...
THIS JUST IN (we rushed home to look it up online,
reports of crashes, etc..): It's a film set. Some show called, "LOST"
that will begin filming within the week. No wonder we didn't see production equipment,
there wasn't any. Whew, kewl and oh well too only because we hoped it was something
really secretive so we could be "in the know"!

Asia and I finally have our household
goods in from Los Angeles! It is 2:30 a.m. here in Hawaii and 7:30 a.m. in NYC...
I think we need to hit the sack! But I can't! I am dedicated to offering some
sort of an update and we just finished unpacking all the boxes. The next thing
on our list to receive are our cats and Corvette. Let me tell you something, Ortiz
Brothers Moving & Storage in Los Angeles, SCUM BAGS. They ripped us off for
$5000.00 over what they quoted us for the move. If they think it will be money
they are keeping, someone has another thing coming. Either it goes back into our
pocket or I assure you, they will lose triple. Credit card theft is illegal boys...

I finally have a release date for my
very own "Complete Protein
Powder"! Stay tuned! It will be a special formula I designed and tested
that includes pure sources of whey, soy and rice proteins. There will be 25 grams
of protein per scoop with absolutely nothing else added. Yes, it will be bland
but this isn't candy folks, it is good for you. "Take your medicine kids!"
I have fought long and hard to assure there will never be a GMO found in my products.
So anything negative you hear about this or that sort of protein source, forget
about it! It does not apply here! Again, coming soon and look right here for the
site to go live!

Aloha!
We have are Hawaiians now and have DSL finally! Let me tell you, when you run
a web business, 5 days without DSL is a nightmare... However, thank you for all
the emails welcoming Asia and I to the islands! We have been loving it here ever
since we landed a few days back. In fact, the day we got here the front pages
of all the papers were screaming about some sort of seasonal storms but we didn't
care; it is still paradise to us. I am not proud to admit it but I let the stress
get the best of me, you know, the stress of moving... I say this because I cannot
believe how free of stress life has turned out to be over here... I wasn't "that"
stressed about it back in the states... But I "was" worried things might
not be what we hoped... Maybe it is just THAT MUCH better over here... I dunno
(I say that a lot, its slang, like it, laughs).
What I do
know is that nothing beats having locally grown fresh produce every day... Fresh
fish pulled straight from the ocean... Smog, what smog? There is none, well, it
looks like none if you want to compare it to anywhere else I have lived... Even
in the city. The only complaint so far is that there isn't a proper gym facility
nearby. Sure, I can and will use my Bodylastics
kit but I am pretty strong folks. The kits only hold up to 6 or 7 bands and I
need a few more than that, but the clips do not have room for it (I told Blake
and he said within no time at all he will have bigger bands available, I cannot
wait). Even the gym at the resort across from us is no good. There are two gyms
there; one with antiquated (yet pristine) equipment and the other so small you
may as well invite the members over to your house to train... It is that cramped.
That's why I bought a barbell set, bench, heavy bag and a stationary bike at the
mall today. I plan to set it all up on my patio! Viola! Problem solved! OK, quickly,
here is what I ate today so far on my Hawaiian diet:
Today,
I woke up at 9:30 a.m. and immediately made myself a protein
drink before working out. While that settled I sliced up some fresh pineapple
to eat afterward my session (why wait when you can be prepared)... A good 2 hours
later I bought a pound of Poke (raw Ahi tuna diced and brushed with sesame oil
and soy sauce) from the deli (it is amazing, there is fresh fish for days over
here), and 2 hours later while at the outdoor mall, I grabbed a bowl of sticky
rice and tossed some soy sauce on that too. Unfortunately, I experienced my first
Hawaii rush hour leaving Honolulu and didn't have time for cooking when I got
home so I nabbed some more Poke (which I just might have every single day the
rest of my life or at least every day for our time in Hawaii) before heading home.
Here I am now, having finished the fish and a little spinach at home typing out
my day to you. In a few more hours I am going to gobble up a fresh papaya or two
and close the day off with a Cornish hen and steamed broccoli. How do you like
that? It will be different tomorrow, exotic to many, common to some, but what
I ate nonetheless and just another day on the program!
